Chef Atkin’s passion for food led him to the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, where he earned distinction as the youngest student in his culinary program. Here he learned how to nurture his own style of cooking and action his unique perspectives. Upon graduation, he put his new expertise to work at Calgary’s renowned La Chaumiére.
As his career progressed, he accepted a position as sous chef on a large-scale catering team, learning the art of satisfying crowds at popular locations like the Calgary Zoo. He also worked as a food stylist for several film productions, transforming plated meals into camera-ready art.
After his move to the Okanagan in 2016, Chef Atkins accepted the position of executive chef at 15 Park Bistro where his preference for seasonal, sustainable ingredients marries well with the restaurant’s farm-to-table ethos. He is committed to providing guests with the highest level of hospitality and bringing them together over an unforgettable meal.
